Alicante and the Costa Blanca are a true paradise for families with children. When the days on the beach get a little too hot, or the kids need more excitement, the area around Benidorm and Torrevieja is packed with some of Spain's best water parks and theme parks.
During the high season (July and August), the queues to buy tickets at the gate can be extremely long in the scorching sun. We always recommend buying “Skip-the-line” tickets in advance. Here are our 4 absolute favorites!
1. Terra Mítica (The Epic Theme Park)
Terra Mítica in Benidorm is one of Spain's largest theme parks. The entire park is divided into ancient civilizations: Egypt, Greece, and Rome. Here you will find everything from gentle children's rides to massive, adrenaline-filled wooden rollercoasters.

2. Aqualandia (Classic Water Fun)
Right next to Benidorm you will find Aqualandia, one of Europe's oldest and largest water parks. The park is beautifully situated on the mountainside and offers everything from relaxing wave pools to extreme waterslides like “Verti-Go”. An absolute must for teenagers and water-loving adults.

3. Aqua Natura (Perfect for the Little Ones)
While Aqualandia is fantastic for older children, Aqua Natura (also in Benidorm) is designed with families with smaller children in mind. The park is more compact, making it incredibly easy for parents to keep an eye out, and the children's pools are world-class.
4. Aquopolis Torrevieja
Are you staying further south on the Costa Blanca, near Torrevieja or Orihuela Costa? Then you don't have to drive all the way to Benidorm! Aquopolis Torrevieja has great slides, a large VIP area for adults, and plenty of fun for the kids, just minutes from the city center.
