Known as “The King's Little Pathway”, the Caminito del Rey was once considered one of the world's most dangerous hikes. Today it is fully restored, 100% safe, and considered one of the most spectacular nature experiences in all of Spain.
The path hangs on the steep cliff walls above the El Chorro gorge, just an hour's drive from Málaga. Because it is one of Andalusia's most popular attractions, tickets are often sold out many months in advance. Here is our guide to securing your spot!

1. The Easiest Option: Guided Tour from Málaga (Transport Included)
If you don't have a rental car, or just want to skip the stress of finding the starting point, a fully guided tour from Málaga is by far the best choice. The bus picks you up in the center of Málaga, a guide takes you across the bridges and gorges, and the bus drives you safely back.

2. Guided Tour from other Costa del Sol towns
Staying outside of Málaga city? No problem. There are tour operators offering transport and tickets with pick-up from several of the major resort towns along the coast, including Torremolinos, Benalmádena, and Fuengirola.
3. Driving yourself? Ticket with Shuttle Bus
Have a rental car and want to drive to El Chorro yourself? The drive from Málaga takes about an hour through beautiful mountain scenery. Remember that the Caminito del Rey is a one-way hike (from north to south). When you park your car, you need a ticket that includes the shuttle bus to get back to the starting point.
