1. Calle Colón (The High Street)
This is Valencia's answer to Oxford Street. Calle Colón is by far the city's most important and busiest shopping street. Here you will find absolutely all the major chains, including Mango, Massimo Dutti, Pull & Bear, and no fewer than three huge Zara stores nearby! The street is wide, lined with trees, and perfect for an afternoon of intense retail therapy.
2. El Saler & Aqua Multiespacio (Shopping Malls)
If you prefer to shop indoors with air conditioning, Valencia has two fantastic shopping malls located right next to each other, close to the City of Arts and Sciences.
Centro Comercial El Saler has a huge selection of fashion and shoe stores, plus a large supermarket. Right across the street is Aqua Multiespacio, a modern outdoor/indoor center with great restaurants and stunning views of the city's futuristic architecture.
3. Ruzafa (The hipster district for vintage and design)
Are you looking for something more unique than the usual chain stores? Then you have to head to the Ruzafa neighborhood. This is Valencia's coolest and most trendy district. It is full of small independent boutiques, vintage stores, art galleries, and thrift markets. It's also the best place to grab a coffee or a cocktail after shopping.
4. El Corte Inglés & Mercado Central
You will find two gigantic El Corte Inglés department stores at either end of Calle Colón. Here you can find luxury brands, cosmetics, and electronics all under one roof. Don't forget to visit the Mercado Central in the Old Town – even though they don't sell clothes, it is the city's best place to shop for Spanish ham, wine, and fresh produce!
