Alicante weather by month: temperatures & best time to visit

Historical Alicante climate averages by month, including daytime and nighttime temperatures, rainfall, sea temperature and practical advice on the best time to visit.

Alicante climate: what to expect

Alicante has a dry Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters. The province promotes more than 300 sunny days a year, while AEMET climate normals for Alicante show roughly 311 mm of rain annually and only about 37–38 days with at least 1 mm of rainfall.

Average daily highs rise from about 17°C in January to 31°C in August. Summer is extremely dry; September and October are wetter and can bring short, intense Mediterranean storm episodes. That does not mean autumn is continuously wet, but weather warnings matter when a DANA is forecast.
